Abstract: Objective To analyze the combined use of Maixuekang capsules with western medicines in patients with coronary heart disease in the real world in order to provide data for the treatment of coronary heart disease with integrated traditional Chinese and western medicines. Methods The medical data on coronary heart disease inpatients who took Maixuekang capsules was retrieved from the information system database of 22 tertiary hospitals across the country from 2006 to 2016, and the association between Maixuekang capsules and western medicines was analyzed. Results Maixuekang capsules were most commonly used in combination with such western medicines as aspirin, isosorbide dinitrate, alprostadil, nifedipine and metoprolol in the treatment of coronary heart disease. The pharmacological types of western medicines were anticoagulants, vascular active drugs, calcium ion antagonists and antihypertensive drugs. Conclusion Maixuekang capsules are often used in combination with conventional western medicines in the treatment of coronary heart disease in the real world, and the medication regimens comply with clinical guidelines.
