Abstract: With the changes in Chinese pregnant populations in recent years, the proportion of medication during pregnancy is relatively high, and the risk of exposure to drugs during pregnancy has also been increased. Therefore, risk assessment of drug exposure during pregnancy is critical to drug safety during pregnancy. This article reviews the current drug exposure during perinatal pregnancy, drugs and teratogenic risk, and ways to engage in risk assessment and pharmaceutical care before summarizing the problems and challenges so as to standardize the development of pharmaceutical care and provide reference for improving the risk assessment system in China.
